Joining Rings – Ella Merriman
Jewellery designs inspired by the reflection of a greeting. When two humans come into contact we wave, shake hands or smile – reflecting the other’s gesture in some way. These initial ring studies aim to break the symmetry of the hands, connect fingers together and make us hold our hands in alternate ways. The sets of rings join when the fingers are clasped at certain angles, shifting the way we use our limbs and consequently changing how we interact with one another.

Abbatoir / Halloween Game – Adam Watts
Reacting to a 1-day brief entitled ‘ shadow’. I am interested in the shifting forms of clothes, whether hanging corpse-like on a coat hook or draped elegantly on a hanger.
Halloween game. reminiscent of venturing into the unknown, a clothes hanging unit where the hooks are obscured to the user. a fumbling, tactile experience made from cast concrete.
